Raised Drinking Vessels

These drinking tumblers and beakers have been created using a technique called “raising”, where you raise a flat sheet of silver up into a 3D form using a series of hammer hits and steel stakes. It is said you use over 30,000 hammer hits to create each vessel.

Gilded inside with 9ct gold to give a lovely golden glow, these tumbler's feel fantastic in the hand, and wonderful to drink from. The perfect accompaniment to your favourite tipple.

The surface is plannished but marks are left in the silver to indicate the making process for this tumbler, which was raised by hand from flat sheet; it gives a wonderful reflective quality to the exterior.
