Recycled Silver Moon Pin
Part of the moon collection, this solid silver pendant has a wonderful undulating texture, reminiscent of the reflective surface of the moon.
The pin is made from textured, recycled silver. Some parts are polished, others are rough, all are highly tactile and lovely to touch. As these are hand-textured, no two pieces will be same.
The silver used is from the bowl parts of the solid silver spoons used for other items in my Revive series, so could date anywhere from 1891 through to the 1970s, although most pieces are from the early 20th century.
Silver is such a lovely material to wear. It reacts to external temperatures so warms wonderfully against your skin, making it very comfortable to wear. I personally test all of my designs to ensure they are up to scratch. Being a solo maker I can have full quality control and it is really important to me that my designs will last as long as the silver does - which is forever.
All of my creations are handmade by me in my little studio in Norfolk and come packaged in a recyclable Seed Silversmith gift box. I enjoy the integrity of the craft so don’t mass produce my designs; I keep them to fairly small numbers so you know your Suzanne Seed Silversmith jewellery is exclusive.
