I am an award winning, qualified and skilled silversmith, jeweller and tutor. I design and handcraft timeless jewellery and silverware with integrity and longevity; to be worn, used, and adored.

My practice lies between art, utility and education, all rooted in a love of recycled precious metals and the heritage craft of silversmithing.

My designs are underpinned by the Modernist design theory of functionality, simplicity and a rejection of ornamentation and influenced by all things concrete, especially Brutalist architecture and 20th Century UK water towers. Timeless and minimal to suit your environment as you and it changes over the years. My silverware is good at their utilitarian function while being pleasing to look at and enjoyable to use; longevity and value for money with buy right buy once.

Silversmithing is an endangered craft, which I feel a custodian of. I enjoy helping others to find a love of silversmithing too, to help keep the historic craft alive.

It’s that connection between the head and the hands; you design something, you create it, you put your heart and soul into it. You have a relationship with the silver, you go through highs and lows together. As the design evolves its personality starts to shine through. Creating something which didn’t previously exist, with your own hands, and knowing it will last for generations, centuries and beyond is something I am incredibly proud of.”
