/// THE NEW FIVE WEEK JEWELLERY COURSE ///

One thing I get asked about time and time again is a course for those who would like to start, or have started but need a little help. In the absence of the Adult Ed silversmithing and jewellery classes which Norfolk County Council decided to stop, I have decided to release a one stop shop course.

I have used my years of learning and teaching to create a five week course which will cover all the basics and more. The price includes all recycled silver, materials and consumables, including a bit more silver than you need for each item so you will start to build up your own little pot of silver to take forward. You will also get a folder full of helpful print outs. I have essentially created the exact course I wish would have been available for me in my early days of making. I am passionate about what I do and love helping others to do it also, and I believe this course is going to deliver big time. You are getting a lot of silver, a lot of tuition and lots of tips and advice along with forever access to a whatsapp group in return. My commitment to you is to make sure you finish the course feeling confident in what you are doing.

You will create two different rings, one of which you will set a stone on in the final week, two pairs of earrings, and necklace with a stone set on it. This little collection of jewellery will allow you to learn many processes and techniques, and develop a great foundation to continue your jewellery making journey, whether for fun or as a side hustle.

I will be teaching you how to make things time and material efficiently, while passing on all the hints and tips I have picked up myself. The session each week will be your chance to ask me any questions about making, and running a creative business, as well as a break from the outside world while you focus on your creativity.

You will get lots of helpful handouts about all things silver, access to a whatsapp group where you can ask questions, and one session will be dedicated to soldering and finishing so by the end you will be confident in your making skills, and finishing pieces to a high standard. Silver lasts forever so you really want to learn how to make things as best you can as they will be sticking around for a while!

The sessions are 2.5 hours long, and each course is open to a maximum of two. My studio isn’t large enough to accommodate more, and the small group size means you will get even more bang for you buck with me on hand the entire time. At present I am running one on Monday mornings, and one on Sunday mornings. I am unable to offer evening sessions, while there is plenty of room to park outside my house during the day its a bit chocka at night so no space for two extra cars.

I am also releasing some dates for stand alone sessions; once you have done a class you can come and make your own project. These sessions will be perfect for those wishing to continue but don’t want to set up at home, or those who have set up at home but need a bit of extra guidance now and then. These sessions will be limited at two people also, and will be various dates and times. I will also be putting some dates up for session in specific techniques, so polishing, soldering, finishing, sawing etc.

The first two courses will run at a discounted price, which I call the pioneers price. Every time I launch a new workshop I offer this, as while I am very experienced and know how things “should” run, I like to double check I haven’t overlooked anything, or made any glaring errors. So the first lot of students get a slightly discounted price as a thank you for being the guinea pigs! You can see more details of the course HERE

If you would like to be notified when the next course will be running, please email HERE and yes, gift vouchers can be used just in case you would like to start hinting for Christmas presents!
