These recycled silver rings are part of The Lasdun collection, inspired by the architecture of Denys Lasdun, specifically the campus at the University of East Anglia.
The main part of the ring is curved, as it should be, withe the top featuring the angular form of all the jewellery in this collection. These rings work great on their own, as a stack with other Lasdun rings, or mixed and matched with any other rings you have. I love a ring you can wear in many different ways.
These are a very limited run, only the sizes you see are available. Hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office.

These recycled silver studs come in a choice of two different textures - lines (the top and bottom pair) or broken leather (the middle pair). Subtle and light catching.

This is the signet collection of my Beton Brut ring series, inspired by my love of all things concrete and Brutalist architecture. Each ring in this series is completely unique and one of a kind, produced using the lost wax process. This is where each ring is made in wax, and then cast into sterling silver. This allows me to create this lovely texture that runs through the series.

These minimal timeless brooches immediately lift any outfit. Inspired by a drawing a did a while back of the silhouettes of my design archive of jugs, tumblers and boxes, I knew I wanted to create jewellery utilising those forms. And here we are!
Made using square silver wire these brooches have a matte surface finish which contrasted against the high shine surface of the internal areas. Each brooch has two pins, and a safety back, which requires you to hold one element while pulling to ensure it will never come off by accident - which is something I found often happens with the traditional style pin back.
Three available - Angles (the pointy one), Curves (the one with curved ends) and the Circle (self explanatory), they work great on their own and also create a great statement if worn in a pair or trio. Longest approx 4cm long.

These wonderfully reflective recycled silver tumblers were made using a technique called hand raising. This is where you start with a flat disc of silver and using a series of very precise hits with different hammers you literally raise the metal up into this 3D form. Sounds simple, it is anything but!
Hand raising is a real labour of love, and you can see each and every hammer blow in its surface. Silver is a great material for a drinking vessel, as an excellent conductor of heat if you pop an ice cube in your drink it will not only chill the drink but the silver too, which in turn chills your drink for longer. If red wine is your thing, the silver will adjust to the ambient room temperature which is exactly what you want. This pair are gold plated inside which protects the silver from being tarnished by the drink and also eliminates any silver taste from the drink. Very easy to look after, warm water and fairy liquid, dry and a good buff with a dry clean cloth and you’re ready to go. Naturally antibacterial too, you really cannot go wrong with silver.
Made with fine silver which is 99.9% pure, as opposed to sterling which is 92.5% pure. Hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay Office.

The Merchants Marks Collaboration with Darren Leader Studio, who has been researching these fascinating geometric forms. Some more elaborate than others, some very minimal in their form. While they are hundreds of years old they look so modern and current.
Merchants marks were essentially the tag of merchant traders and artisans from 14th - 16th century, a way of signing their work before the masses could read and write.
I’ve taken a handful of these marks and used them to boldly adorn some silver boxes and pinch pots. Much like an engraved gin beaker I made a few years ago rather than placing the marks solely on the lid or the side, I’ve draped them across both. I just love these designs. The pinch pots are 5cm and 3cm wide respectively, and the boxes 6cm, 5cm and 3.5cm tall.
In silversmithing and jewellery we have our sponsors/makers mark, which is unique to each maker and registered y an assay office. It is impressed into our work so it can always be traced back to us, by the assay office who only strike the marks onto the metal as part of a hallmark which guarantees the quality of the gold and silver used.

Can be bought as a set, or as separates this collection was designed and created as part of my Arts Council funded The Water Tower Works Project. This project underpinned the collection inspired by all things concrete.
Made using recycled sterling silver, which has been assayed and hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office, and has a gold plated interior which adds a visual contrast but also has a functional purpose; red wine doesn’t stain gold like it does silver.
A marriage of hand and machine crafted, the base of the pieces has been “spun” by Warren Martin who is a traditional trade silver spinner using a lathe, tools and decades of skill. The body of the carafe and tumblers has been made by me, starting with a flat sheet of silver. Using lots of hammering, forming, and finessing the soldered truncated cone is then soldered to the base et voila!
Silver is naturally antibacterial so a lovely material to eat and drink from. And as a good heat conductor it is perfect for water (pop a couple of ice cubes in and the silver will chill, in turn keeping the water cooler for longer), and of course red wine will breathe while gently warming to room temperature. Perfect!
Ok the important part - the carafe will comfortably hold a bottle of wine, or a litre of water. Or those amounts of any other liquid you may care to enjoy. The tumblers fit enjoyably in any hand. All three items have a flat bottom so no need to worry about its stability when placed down.

Based in Horsford this silver jewellery course will teach you the basics and so much more. During 2.3/4 hours each week we will cover how to make a wide range of jewellery to a high standard will giving you an excellent foundation to build upon if you are looking to carry this on as a hobby or as a side hustle. By the end of this course you will be not only experienced in how silver works, but confident in creating your own masterpieces.
Suitable both for complete beginners and those who have dabbled but are looking to level up their skills, I provide you with all the materials, recycled silver (over £150 worth) and consumables you need (more than enough silver to make everything so you can keep what is left to start to build up your own stash), a folder full of print outs and information, PDFs, tea, coffee, and all round general support and encouragement.
I have all the tools and equipment; my aim is to give you maximum bang for your buck, a one stop shop to get up and running with not only making your own silver jewellery, but knowing how to make it well. You will have me on hand to ask any silver questions including how to set your own studio/work area.
Each course is limited to two people so you will meet another like minded person - unless you book the pick your own dates which is a one to one course. The pace will be relaxed and there will be plenty of time for as many questions as you would like to ask. This course is your chance to have access to a professional and ask anything and everything, while learning the skills.
What you will learn/make:
Week 1.
You will create two rings, using different shapes of silver. This is not only a great introduction to making silver jewellery but making the two rings together helps you understand how to accurately size rings.
One of these rings will be used in week five when you will be learning how to bezel set a stone.
Week 2.
Soldering and sawing week. You will learn a variety of ways of soldering, and develop a deep understanding of why and how solder works. This session is so valuable to everything you will make in future - when you understand solder everything is so much easier.
Week 3.
You will create two pairs of earrings, and learn different ways of texturing your silver.
Week 4.
You will create a necklace with a tube set stone. A lovely introduction to this setting technique.
Week 5.
The final week you will learn how to bezel set a stone onto your ring from week 1.

What is better than one recycled silver ring? Three! Stacking rings are great, you can have contrasting textures making each one different giving the trio an interesting look. There is a choice of textures available for these rings which you will be shown examples of during your lesson to give you a better idea as to which you may prefer. You get to make your rings completely unique to you in this relaxed session in my studio in Norfolk.
You now have the option to add a stone to one of your stackers, or create a set of five stackers as this has been requested a few times. And if gold is more your thing get in touch and I can price up the session accordingly (priced on request due to prices increasing daily).
At the end of the session you will receive a gift bag. Inside there will be a quality recycled and recyclable gift box to put your jewellery in, and a care card and cleaning cloth to keep your jewellery nice and shiny. A brooch is an excellent accessory and very versatile. The effortless way to perk up any outfit, jacket, coat, hat or scarf.
In this session you will create your own recycled silver brooch, with a double pin. You will have examples to look at and be inspired by, helping you to create your own unique design. I will demonstrate every step, and you will have a trial run on some copper before starting on the silver. I can make your copper sample into a brooch too so you will have two at the end of the session.
The brooch/brooches will feature your own design and have a lovely curved edge giving them a nice depth. It will have a satin finish which helps to highlight your chosen design, and a double pin fastening on the back. A double pin is better for the clothes you attach it too as it spreads the weight out evenly between the two, and it also hands much better than a single pin.
At the end of the session you will receive a gift bag. Inside there will be a quality recycled and recyclable gift box to put your brooches in, and a care card and cleaning cloth to help keep it looking its best.

Before the lesson we will chat about the different shapes and sizes of rings you could make, and the options available for your hallmarked wedding rings to ensure you choose what is best for you. I have a variety of different thicknesses, sizes and styles and textures of rings made up as examples, you are welcome to come and try these on to get a better idea of your perfect ring.
During the session I will teach you how to make your rings using traditional silversmithing techniques, demonstrating each step. There is something so special about making each others wedding ring, something you will be wearing against your skin forevermore.
