Recycled Silver Wedding Ring Workshop - suitable for beginners

Before the lesson we will chat about the different shapes and sizes of rings you could make, and the options available for your hallmarked wedding rings to ensure you choose what is best for you. I have a variety of different thicknesses, sizes and styles and textures of rings made up as examples, you are welcome to come and try these on to get a better idea of your perfect ring.
During the session I will teach you how to make your rings using traditional silversmithing techniques, demonstrating each step. There is something so special about making each others wedding ring, something you will be wearing against your skin forevermore.

On completion, the rings will be sent to London and hallmarked by the London Assay Office. I will professionally polish the rings before returning to you in a sustainably sourced wooden ring box. You will have the option to have a date or initials engraved on the inside of the rings, which will be done by laser engraving at the London Assay Office, at an additional cost.
As an anniversary gift I offer a free of charge annual spruce up of the rings, giving them a repolish to bring back to a high shine.
Please contact me if you would like to make your rings in gold. The price of precious metals changes every day, so gold workshops are priced at time of enquiry to make sure they are correct.
When the rings return from the Assay Office you can either arrange to collect, or I can send you to via Special Delivery. You will receive your rings in their wedding ring box, an anti-tarnish silver cleaning cloth, with a silver care card.
All materials and tools are provided.

No experience is needed - I will work to your pace
Lessons are private and held as a one to one, or a maximum of 2 people if booking together (price per person not per session)
At the end of the lesson you have your own handmade wedding rings to keep which you have made yourself, from scratch.
You will also have a good understand of the techniques and processes used to create silver jewellery, should you wish to build upon these.
You can choose to follow up with another session tailored to whatever you would like to make next. Please contact me if you have something different in mind, I am happy to discuss a bespoke session created especially for you.
Bookings can be changed in advance if necessary and if another suitable date is available, I will always be flexible where possible - Cancellation within 24 hours of the event may lead to loss of the session. On the rare occasion I need to cancel a date I will offer alternative dates to re-book.
If buying as a present for someone, vouchers are available - please state in the notes when ordering the name you would like the voucher to be written out to, and the name it is from. Although the voucher comes in a silver envelope ready to give, I send these in a non-marked envelope to save the surprise. I leave the silver envelope open so you can see the voucher, and include your own note should you wish, before passing on to the recipient. I am happy to send the voucher direct, please leave the recipient's name and address in the “additional notes” area during checkout. You can book a date for the session to be held, or leave if to the recipient to contact me direct.
