Still beaker commission

in 2017 I was commissioned alongside 19 other emerging silversmiths asked to design and create a silver gin tasting beaker, by the Goldsmiths Centre. We all had the same starting point of a spun silver beaker, the same size, but other than that we had free rein with our designs.

My design features an outline of the stil used in the gin making process, engraved into the beaker then gold plated to highlight the design and contrast against the silver.

The beakers featured in the exhibition Made for the Table, a selling showcase to run alongside the main touring exhibition at the Goldsmiths Centre in London. Details of all 20 beakers here - I love the variety of designs we have all created from the same starting point.
