Finishing and Polishing Workshop
Duration 2 hours
This two hour session (approximately) in my studio in Norfolk is for anyone who wants to increase the quality of their creations by learning different ways to achieve the best finish and polish for the item made.
I often get asked how a student can boost the quality of their work and developing your finishing and polishing skills is the answer! There isn't one hard set rule of how to achieve this, but rather a few different ways depending on the design of the piece and the finish you wish to achieve - whether it's a high shine, matte or satin.
During this session we will cover different methods using the correct materials demonstrated on copper. You are welcome to bring your own pieces to discuss. We can work directly on those to give you a better understanding of how to finish and polish your designs going forward, including how to get into all of those tricky areas.
I will advise you on where to buy the tools and materials you need (don't worry - this doesn't need a lot of money!) for best quality for the lowest price, so you won't end up overspending, or worst still buying rubbish which then means you have to buy again.
You can also use the session to ask me any other questions you may have about all things silver/making with precious metals. It's a one to one session where you can make the most of my years of experience to answer any questions you've had at the back of your mind, or just to have a look around my studio in case it gives you some good ideas to use back in your own.
This course is non-refundable, please ensure you can make the session before booking.
You can check availability here if you have a particular date in mind. If you are purchasing as a gift, or as unsure as to when you would like to come, you are more than welcome to purchase the session and book a date later.
