The Moore Collection Double Drop Earrings - recycled silver jewellery
This jewellery collection consists of recycled silver bangles, earrings and rings. The shapes are unique, not too identical, and based on the forms seen in Henry Moore's work. Each item has some texture added in an area or two. This texture is created by hand with a hammer, with an essence of the marks made by Henry with his chisel.
These earrings are incredibly comfortable to wear, the lower half gently moving and its textured parts catching the light as it moves.
Available in recycled silver, gold plated, and recycled 9ct solid gold - please note the 9ct gold and gold plated pairs are made to order (a more sustainable and material efficient way to make) so allow up to three weeks for delivery. Inspired by the forms and textured seen in the works of Henry Moore, sculptor during the 20thC. Known for creating semi-abstract bronze sculptures, he utilised a wide range of techniques and media, such as line drawing and cross-hatching, gouache, chalk and crayon.
My work if very rigid and structured, with bold lines. And I have been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and creating irregular fluid natural shapes is a very uncomfortable thing for me to do. So that is what I have been doing.
