The Moore Collection Earrings - recycled silver jewellery
This jewellery collection consists of recycled silver bangles, earrings and rings. The shapes are unique, not too identical, and based on the forms seen in Henrys work. Each item has some texture added in an area or two. This textured is created by hand with a hammer, with an essence of the marks made by Henry with his chisel.
These earrings are the sister to the double drop design. These sit flush to the ear so have no movement like their sibling, but still have plenty of texture and sparkle!
Hand made by me with recycled silver.

Inspired by the forms and textured seen in the works of Henry Moore, sculptor during the 20thC. Known for creating semi-abstract bronze sculptures, he utilised a wide range of techniques and media, such as line drawing and cross-hatching, gouache, chalk and crayon.
My work if very rigid and structured, with bold lines. And I have been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and creating irregular fluid natural shapes is a very uncomfortable thing for me to do. So that is what I have been doing.
