The Moore Collection Rings - recycled silver jewellery
This jewellery collection consists of recycled silver bangles, earrings and rings.
The shapes are unique, not too identical, and based on the forms seen in Henrys work. Each item has some texture added in an area or two. This textured is created by hand with a hammer, with an essence of the marks made by Henry with his chisel.
These rings are created using 2mm round recycled silver wire, hammered to give my favourite texture then made into a ring. I love the change in weight, from the thick round shank to the thin wide textured element at the front. These are incredibly comfortable to wear.

Inspired by the forms and textured seen in the works of Henry Moore, sculptor during the 20thC. Known for creating semi-abstract bronze sculptures, he utilised a wide range of techniques and media, such as line drawing and cross-hatching, gouache, chalk and crayon.
My work if very rigid and structured, with bold lines. And I have been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and creating irregular fluid natural shapes is a very uncomfortable thing for me to do. So that is what I have been doing.
