The Water Tower Works Project Brass Trio

A trio of sculptural objects made from brass, created during my The Water Tower Works project in 2024.

Part of the project was for me to try and move away from designing only functional pieces so while these could‍ ‍be functional, they are equally sculptural forms and not needing a utilitarian purpose to be enjoyed. We won’t discuss the fact that I failed in my bid to create something without a utilitarian function… I admit I just enjoy creating things that hold things!

Available as individuals, or as a group (a discount has been applied to the group of three) these different shapes consist of components spun by a spinner (using a big lathe) then soldered together by me. Brass is notoriously difficult to solder so these were made during an exercise to develop my soldering skills. And now they deserve a home to adorn, and be admired. (And used or not used, the choice is yours!)
